TEAM JAPAN.
The participants in the Int. GS Trophy 2018.
Japan has been present since the first Int. GS Trophy ever and has enriched the event throughout the years every single time. For 2018, the following participants have overcome the hurdles of the qualifying and start for their country: Sho Tajima (29), instructor for safety riding, Hiroaki Tazawa (42), working for an auto auction company, and Yuki Ogasawara (38), hair dresser. They are barely to slow down and really looking foward to get to know Mongolia and new friends and connect with GS riders from around the world.

The Int.GS Trophy 2018 に参加する 日本チーム紹介！
日本チームは、The Int.GS Trophyが始まってから、毎年参加。年々強さを増しています。これから紹介する3人の参加者は、本戦にむけ、たくさんの障害を乗り越え、スタートしています。田島 翔さん（29）会社員、田澤啓明さん（42）会社員、小笠原勇樹さん（38）美容師。3人はとっても楽しみにしています。モンゴルはもちろん、世界中から集まるGSライダーと出会い、友人となりつながっていくことを。
◆Sho Tajima
-Q:What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
Meeting the competitors from other countries and become comrades. I strongly wish that I can make friends all over the world who love motorcycles.-Q:Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?
I’m currently riding a R 1200 GS Adventure. The most exciting story is when I held my wedding party in 2014, in which my wife and I entered the chapel riding on the GS.-Q:What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
The fact that we can build networks with other GS riders from all over the world through the International GS Trophy 2018.-Q:What does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?
To me, the Spirit of GS is ”hand-in-hand”. For example, if somebody runs into trouble nearby, I would help them hand-in-hand.-Q:How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
First, I study English to understand the regulations of the GS Trophy games. Second, I build muscle to fully enjoy my dream days. Finally, I help with housework and childcare every day to get approval from my wife.

-The Int.GS Trophy 2018へ参加する、そのモチベーションは何ですか？
Sho 海外からやってくるライバルと出会いや、彼らと同士になることがモチベーションです。バイクを愛する世界中の人たちと友達になりたいと心から思っています。
-バイクは何に乗っていますか？またそのバイクに乗っていて一番エキサイティングだった経験は、またはサプライズは何ですか？
Sho 今は “R 1200 GS Adventure” に乗っています。一番エキサイティングだった経験は、2014年、わたしの結婚式で 妻と二人でGSに乗り、チャペルへ入っていったことです。
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018 の一番の魅力は何ですか？
Sho international GS Trophy 2018 を通して、世界中からやってくるGSライダーとネットワークをつくれることです。
-”Spirit of GS ”とは、あなたにとって、どんな意味ですか？
Sho わたしにとって、”Spirit of GS ”は”hand-in-hand”です。もしライバルの誰かが、走行中に自分の近くでトラブっていたら、助けるために手を貸すことです。
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018のためにどんな準備をしていますか？
Sho まずは GS Trophyの試合のルールを理解するために英語を勉強しています。次に、この夢の舞台を十分楽しめるように、筋力を鍛えています。そして最後に、妻からGS Trophyへの参加の承諾が得られるように、家事と育児を手伝っています。

-Q:What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
Because it is the Int. GS Trophy!-Q:Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?
I currently ride the R 1200 GS Adventure. The most exciting story is when I joined the GS Trophy Japan in 2013. It was my first time camping, participating in the Skills Challenge, and GS Trophy Qualifier. I was also able to communicate with many other GS riders, and it really has changed my life.-Q:What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
Mongolia has all the riding elements. The fact that we can run to the horizon and camp under the star light sky. The vast grassland, desert, and mountains.-Q:hat does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?
Never say never, and help each other.-Q:How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
I am studying everything about Mongolia. I am also practicing taking pictures ? I want to take a picture of the beautiful scenery with my fellow GS riders. “Hey, Smile!”

-The Int.GS Trophy 2018へ参加する、そのモチベーションは何ですか？
Hiroaki それは何と言っても、”The Int.GS Trophy 2018” ですから！
-バイクは何に乗っていますか？またそのバイクに乗っていて一番エキサイティングだった経験は、またはサプライズは何ですか？
Hiroaki 今は R 1200 GS Adventureに乗っています。これまでで一番のエキサイティングな経験は、2013年日本で行われたThe GS Trophyです。僕にとって「スキルチャレンジ」、「GSトロフィークオリファイアー」への初キャンピングであり、初参加でした。たくさんのGSライダーの仲間ができました。これはまさに、僕の人生を変えた出来事です。
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018 の一番の魅力は何ですか？
Hiroaki モンゴルにはすべての要素がそなわっています。地平線を走り、星明りの下でキャンプをするといったことです。広大な草原、砂漠、連なる山脈も魅力です。
-”Spirit of GS ”とは、あなたにとって、どんな意味ですか？
Hiroaki ”Never say never!” それに、お互いが助け合うこと。
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018のためにどんな準備をしていますか？
Hiroaki モンゴルについてなんでも勉強しています。また、すばらしい写真が撮れるよう、写真撮影の練習もしています。美しい景色の中でGSライダーの仲間たちと一緒に写真をとりたい。”Hey Smile !” なんて言いながら。
◆Yuki Ogasawara
-Q:What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
I have always been motivated by constantly trying new things that gives my life value ? I believe the International GS Trophy does exactly that.-Q:Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?
I ride a R 1200 GS Adventure. The mileage of the bike is 150,000km. GS life is a constant cycle of challenges and small adventures.-Q:What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
The fact that I can make friends from all over the world.-Q:hat does the “Spirit of GS” mean to you?
Team spirit and togetherness.-Q:How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?
I prepare myself by going to the gym three times a week.
◆小笠原勇樹さん
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018へ参加する、そのモチベーションは何ですか？
Yuki わたしは、自分の人生が価値あるものになるよう、意識的にいつも新しいことにトライすることでモチベーションを維持しています。「The Int.GS Trophy 2018」はまさにそれです。
-バイクは何に乗っていますか？またそのバイクに乗っていて一番エキサイティングだった経験は、またはサプライズは何ですか？
Yuki R 1200 GS Adventure に乗っています。GSライフこそが、挑戦と冒険の連続です。
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018 の一番の魅力は何ですか？
Yuki 世界中に友達ができることです。
-”Spirit of GS ”とは、あなたにとって、どんな意味ですか？
Yuki チーム精神は”Togetherness”(一体感）です。
-The Int.GS Trophy 2018のためにどんな準備をしていますか？
Yuki 週3回ジムに行き、体を鍛えています。
GS trophyでは、丸太をこえたり、バイクを持ち上げたり、目隠しで走ったり、深夜真っ暗闇で走ってタイヤ交換したりと、常識では考えられないミッションが次々とやってくるそうです。国別対抗戦ながらも、ライバルが仲間で、仲間がライバルで。わたしも、まだまだ知らないことだらけなので、みなさまと一緒にウォッチしたいと思います。ファイト、Team Japan！
